OPINION

ANN CRAWFORD McCLURE, Justice.

James Johnson appeals his capital murder conviction. A jury found Appellant guilty and the trial court sentenced him to an automatic life sentence as the State did not seek the death penalty. We affirm.

FACTUAL SUMMARY

This is the story of the tragic life and death of Aayunn Johnson, who was born on February 19, 2003 to Appellant and Rosemary Gaines. The trio moved into an El Paso duplex at 8841-B Lawson in May 2003. Leticia Brown, a friend, lived in a nearby apartment.
