This is an action to recover damages for personal injuries. From a judgment in favor of the plaintiff in the sum of $18,500.00, the defendant appeals.

The motions for nonsuit and a directed verdict require the statement of the evidence in the light most favorable to the plaintiff. It is not for us to weigh the evidence but to determine whether there is any substantial evidence to support the judgment.
