The instant adversary proceeding was commenced by Complaint filed September 29, 1982, and later amended December 22, 1983, whereby the plaintiff, Spears Carpet Mills, Inc. (SCM), through its Chapter 7 trustee seeks both compensatory as well as punitive damages from the defendants in consequence of certain events surrounding the purchase of SCM by G & A Carpet Mills, Inc.
