OPINION

HALBROOKS, Judge.

In this maintenance-modification dispute, appellant argues that the district court abused its discretion by (1) awarding only a temporary monthly increase of $1,000 in her permanent spousal maintenance award, (2) ordering her to secure the services of an employment agent, and (3) denying her request for attorney fees. We conclude that the district court erred by considering the expenses associated with respondent’s new family in its determination of respondent’s ability to pay increased maintenance to appellant.
