In this workers’ compensation appeal, the employer raises several issues. Primarily, it contends that the trial court erred in awarding benefits pursuant tu Tenn.Code Ann. § 50-6-242 (1999) rather than applying the “multiplier” provision of TenmCode Ann. § 50-6-241(b) (1999), which, if applied, would limit the plaintiffs award to six times his medical impairment rating.
