Generally speaking, the claim of the plaintiff is that the defendants conspired together to defraud him by inducing him to purchase corporation stock of the North American Fire Insurance Company. It is alleged, inter alia, that the defendants falsely represented to the plaintiff that the stock offered to him belonged to the North American Insurance Company; that its value was equal to or in excess of the amount demanded for' it, and that it would be a safe and profitable investment for the plaintiff; that the defendants could and would resell said stock for plaintiff at a profit before…
