Defendants in error, Joe Openheim, Julius Siegel and Nick Miller, were arrested and brought before the municipal court of the city of Chicago charged with violating section 1500A of the revised municipal code of said city. Said section of the municipal code prohibits any person from selling a street railway transfer ticket issued by a street railway company within the city, given to the passenger for the purpose of authorizing him to transfer from one car or line to another without the payment of additional fare.
