The testimony and exhibits are quite extensive; we have read and examined all of the evidence with care; due to the voluminous condition of the record we deem it inadvisable to set forth our review of it. We shall, therefore, confine ourselves to a statement of our findings. In the year 1918 the plaintiff came to Portland, and shortly thereafter became engaged in the venture of unlawfully selling intoxicating liquors. In the year 1919 he met the defendant’s daughter and the two became interested in one another; at about the same time she became an intermittent volunteer helper in his illegal…
