Thomas D. Froehler, deceased, was the insured under a policy issued by the North American Life Insurance Company of Chicago (hereinafter called the company) and the appellant, his widow, was the beneficiary named therein. The policy was in the sum of $10,000 and was what is known as an ordinary life form of contract. The present appeal from the Appellate Court is on leave granted by us, and the judgment of that court was one affirming a judgment of the circuit court of Cook county. In the circuit court the appellant had a jury verdict in the sum of $12,479.79, but this was set aside on motion…
