The informations in these cases charge the defendants with the crime of illegal possession of narcotics and drugs in violation of § 19-246 of the General Statutes. Prior to trial, the defendants filed motions to suppress the use of the drugs as evidence because the defendants claim that the arresting officers seized the articles as the result of an illegal search and seizure.
