MEMORANDUM OPINION

INTRODUCTION

On March 9, 1984, plaintiffs Jesse Jackson, Clyde Cleveland, Joel Ferguson, Rob ert Newby, Sam Riddle, Jr., and Kathleen Wilson filed their complaint in this action against defendants the Michigan State Democratic Party (State Party) and the Democratic Party of the United States (National Party). On the same date, plaintiffs filed a motion which requested that the court issue an order to show cause why injunctive relief should not be granted in accordance with their prayer for relief in the complaint.
