hThe issue presented in this appeal is the validity of an uninsured motorist (UM) coverage waiver signed by the sheriff of Avoyelles Parish with respect to a policy of insurance issued by Defendant, St. Paul Fire and Marine Insurance Company (St. Paul), to the Avoyelles Parish Sheriffs Office (APSO). The trial court found that the waiver was invalid because the sheriff failed to indicate his authority or representative capacity on the form.
