In April, 193Q, the People’s Bank of Mt. Vernon, Ky., closed its doors, and it was taken in charge by the banking commissioner of Kentucky for the purpose of liquidation Before then, and, while it was a going concern, the partnership firm of Bryant Bros., composed of L. D., O. D. and Emmit Bryant, executed three notes to the bank aggregating approximately $2,500, and which (or the renewals thereof) were unpaid at the time the banking commissioner assumed control.
