This is an appeal from a judgment of the Appellate Court for the First District affirming a judgment of the superior court of Cook county for $8000 in favor of appellee, against appellant, for damages for personal injuries sustained by the appellee while in appellant’s employ. Appellee, at the time of the injury, July 16, 1901, was a structural iron worker in appellant’s service, engaged in the construction of the St. Cecilia school building,—a three-story structure in the city of Chicago,—and while so engaged was struck by a large…
