In an information filed by the district attorney of Los Angeles County, defendant was charged in count I with the crime of burglary and in count II with the offense of forgery. He entered a plea of not guilty to both offenses charged against him. At the request of defendant the public defender was appointed as his counsel. Subsequently, defendant, with leave of court, withdrew his plea of not guilty and pleaded guilty to the offenses charged in both counts I and II.
