This is a contest between the mother and the paternal grandmother concerning the custody and adoption of male child G-, who it appears was six years of age at the time the proceedings were commenced. The child is one of four children. The mother with three of the children lived at A-, Kansas, a small town about fifty miles from Joplin, Missouri. The grandmother had actual or physical custody of G- and lived in Joplin.
