The South Park Commissioners in Cook county attempted to levy a tax of two mills on the dollar on the taxable property in the park district, amounting to §295,164, and included that sum in an ordinance providing that §785,246,—the aggregate of the items specified in the ordinance,—should be levied upon the property subject thereto. They certified the same to appellant, the county clerk of said county, as their tax levy for the year 1897, and appellee filed the bill in this case to restrain said clerk from extending said two-mill tax upon the collector’s books.
