LOWELL, District Judge.

This is a suit for the infringement of letters patent 1,729,654, issued to Watson and Culver on October 1, 1929, which was assigned to the United Kingdom Optical Company, of which the Univis Corporation is the sole licensee. The complainants contend that this patent covers a method of making optical lenses in which the two segments of the button, so-called, are left with a gray finish before they are fused together.
