The appellee, Aesop Gfufford, filed his bill in equity in the Circuit Court of Jackson county against Isaac Smith, the appellant, in which he alleges that in the year 1891 he rented from Smith about twenty-three *483acres of land to cultivate as a farm for that year, the said Smith agreeing to advance him supplies for himself and family while making the crop.
