POLITZ, Chief Judge:

Earline Chabert appeals a judgment against her for $132,000 in favor of Southern Pacific Transportation Company (SO-PAC). She also appeals the amount awarded on her counterclaim for attorney’s fees and costs. For the reasons assigned, we affirm.

Background

On November 3, 1982, Chabert’s husband, Thomas Chabert, was killed in an automobile accident on the Greater New Orleans Bridge. At the time of his death Thomas Chabert was acting within the scope of his employment with SOPAC. On February 16, 1983, SOPAC paid a $132,000 death benefit to Chabert under the National Agreement…
