This is an appeal from a judgment of guilty rendered by the trial court, sitting without a jury, in a trial for manslaughter by automobile as the result of the killing of Thomas Robertson by a truck driven by the appellant.

Rule 7 (c) of the New Criminal Rules of Practice and Procedure dealing with the trial of criminal cases before the court without a jury provides that when a criminal charge has been so tried by the court, an appeal may be taken as provided by law.
