¶ 16. I must respectfully dissent from the majority’s conclusion that the case before us is without error and can be safely affirmed with confidence. The majority finds that there is sufficient evidence to affirm each of Lobo’s convictions and that the Circuit Court of Madison County committed no error in allowing the City of Ridgeland to file an appellate brief in the circuit court, far outside the circuit-court ordered deadline and after the circuit court had entered an order reversing the convictions.
