Defendant was convicted of perjury in three counts. He appeals.

The charges all grew out of testimony given by defendant in the trial of a civil action in which he was a defendant and had filed a cross petition. The first count charged that he testified that his name was James H. Phillips; in the second count that he was a graduate chemical engineer; that he graduated from Penn State College; and in the third count that he was a graduate of the School of Medicine of the University of Tennessee; all counts charged that these statements were…
