Appeal from the Twelfth District Court, City and County of San Francisco. This was an action brought to recover back the sum of eleven thousand and thirty dollars and two cents, and interest from the date of payment, which sum was paid by the plaintiff to the defendant, the tax collector of the City and County of San Francisco, under protest. *112This is an action to recover from the defendant, the Tax Collector of San Francisco, a' certain sum of money paid him by the plaintiff for taxes, under protest, on the ground that the proceedings of the public officers respecting the tax list were irregular and void. The case was tried by the Court,,who found for the defendant, and the plaintiff appeals.
