On September 30, 1927, about midnight, at a time when Julia May Wolfson was 12 years of age, she was in jured while riding in an automobile belonging to and driven by one Chapman. At the scene of the accident, Twenty-fourth Street runs north and south. Kingman Boulevard, running east and west, ends on the west side of Twenty-fourth Street. Cottage Grove Avenue, running northwest and southeast, intersects both Twenty-fourth Street and Kingman Boulevard, where King-man Boulevard and Twenty-fourth Street come together.
