MEMORANDUM OPINION AND ORDER

Fourteen Illinois municipalities, on behalf of a putative class of similarly situated municipalities, sued a number of online travel companies alleging that they failed to remit taxes owed under plaintiffs’ municipal hotel tax ordinances. Defendants removed the case to federal court under the Class Action Fairness Act, 28 U.S.C. §§ 1332(d) & 1453.
