Action for personal injuries under the Federal Tort Claims Act, 28 U.S.C.A., Sections 1346 and 2674.

The plaintiff, J. Fred Bean, fell while descending the stairs of the Walnut Street entrance at the old Post Office Building in Green Bay, Wisconsin. He had visited the Post Office on the evening of December 2, 1958, to mail letters. He entered the building by using the entrance on the north side of the building, commonly referred to as the Walnut Street entrance. Plaintiff used the west handrail as he ascended the stairs.
