Sturgis National Bank v. Harris Trust & Savings Bank

The Sturgis National Bank of Sturgis, Michigan, brought an action of trover in the circuit court of Cook county against the Harris Trust and Savings Bank for the conversion of five six per cent first mortgage gold bonds of the Central Mexico Light and Power Company. A plea of the general issue was filed. Upon a trial by the court without a jury the issues were found for the defendant. A judgment was rendered against the plaintiff in bar of the action and for costs.
