Judgment, Supreme Court, New York County (Alvin Schlesinger, J.), rendered April 10, 1995, convicting defendant, after a jury trial, of assault in the first degree, and sentencing him as a second violent felony offender to a term of 7 to 14 years, unanimously reversed, on the law, and the matter remanded for a new trial.
