ULRICH, Presiding Judge.
Plaintiff, Shirley Ricks, widow of William Ricks, appeals the decision of the Defendant, Missouri Local Government Employees’ Retirement System (LAGERS), denying her survivor’s pension benefits. At the time of Mr. Ricks’ retirement, Mr. and Mrs. Ricks elected to receive his retirement benefits in the form of a monthly retirement allowance payable to Mr. Ricks for his life. Mrs. Ricks, therefore, was precluded from receiving sur*589vivor’s benefits at his death. After a hearing before the LAGERS Board of Trustees, LAGERS found no grounds upon which relief could be granted…
