This is an appeal by the United States from an order and decree of the superior court of Cook county directing that a certificate of naturalization be issued to Jacob David Gerstein, appellee. Gerstein filed his petition for admission to citizenship January 25, 1916. A hearing was had on the petition December 14, 1917, and a certificate of naturalization ordered issued to petitioner, from which order and decree the government has appealed to this court.
