OPINION
GREEN, Justice.
The State indicted Dorsey Ventroy for the offense of attempted murder, enhanced as a repeat offender. Pursuant to a not guilty plea, a jury found Ventroy guilty and also found that he had used a deadly weapon in the commission of the offense. The trial court, based on the jury verdict, found the enhancement allegation “true,” and sentenced Ventroy to life in prison.
