*887 Rachel Sheri Wilson-Angeles ("Defendant") appeals from judgment entered after a jury found her guilty of attempted first-degree arson and being intoxicated and disruptive in public.

Defendant was casually talking to her neighbor, Sharon Houston ("Houston"), outside Houston's apartment in their apartment complex in Mooresville, North Carolina, just before midnight on 20 December 2011.
