Appellants Milton I. Schwartz, Checker Cab Company and Yellow Cab Company of Nevada (collectively “Schwartz”) filed the instant action against the late Herman Greenspun, Brian Greenspun and their family-operated newspaper, the Las Vegas Sun, Inc. (collectively “Greenspun”).1 Schwartz alleged claims for defamation and intentional infliction of emotional distress based upon Greenspun’s publication of five articles in the Las Vegas Sun.
