On March 20, 1980, an information was filed in the Fresno County Superior Court charging appellant, Sammy Sanchez, with two counts of forcible rape, a violation of Penal Code section 261, subdivisions (2) and (3) (counts I and II), and with one count of oral copulation, a violation of Penal Code section 288a, subdivision (c) (count III). It was further alleged that in the commission of each offense, appellant inflicted great bodily injury within the meaning of Penal Code section 12022.7. A prior felony conviction was also alleged.
