This action was brought by the state on the relation of the attorney general, at the direction of the governor, for the appointment of a receiver of the property and affairs of the defendant, the reinsurance of its outstanding policies of life insurance and annuity bonds, the winding up of its affairs, and the forfeiture of its charter.
