OPINION

MATTHEWS, Justice.

IW., subpoenaed to testify in Wilfred Raphael's criminal trial in Bethel, arrived in court intoxicated on the day she was scheduled to give testimony. In an ex parte meeting, Assistant District Attorney Joe Wrona expressed concern to Superior Court Judge *256Dale Curda that LW. would either fail to appear a second time to- testify or would not be able to stay sober. After holding a brief hearing with Wrona and LW., Judge Curda imprisoned LW. for contempt. The Judicial Conduct Commission has recommended to this court that Judge Curda be reprimanded for ethical misconduct…
