J.— The appellants were convicted of the crime of grand larceny. The information, omitting formal parts, is as follows:

“Said H. M. Coss and William Chester on the 11th day of October, 1894, at the county of Lincoln, State of Washington, did unlawfully and feloniously steal, take and carry away four thousand feet of sawed timber, of the value of $60, the property of the Northern Pacific Railroad Company, a corporation duly incorporated by and under the laws of the United States, which said Northern Pacific Railroad Company was at the dates…
