The record of this appeal unfolds a sordid story of the long extended defalcations of a trusted officer of the plaintiff corporation. He was in its service for about twenty-two years during the last four of which he grossly betrayed his trust. The corporation opened a deposit account with the defendant in January, 1935, and in that connection a signa*23ture card was executed whereby the depositor agreed, among other things, that: “The signatures of persons authorized to draw checks which the bank will recognize in payment of…
