The principal point in this cause arises on the will of George Liggett the elder, deceased, and the question is, whether ah estate in fee, or for life only, passed by the devise to George Liggett, ju'nior, son of the testator. The will begins with the usual introductory words, “As touching my worldly substance with which it hath pleased God in this life to bless me, I give, bequeath, and dispose of the same in the following manner.” Then cdmes the devise to the testator’s son George, in the following words, — “ I make over and bequeath to my son George Liggett, the plantation Í now live on,…
