CUMMINGS, Circuit Judge.
Defendant, a Selective Service registrant, had been classified as a conscientious objector. He was indicted for failure to report for civilian work “contributing to the maintenance of national health, safety or interest” at Evanston Hospital Association, Evanston, Illinois, in violation of 50 U.S.C. App. §§ 456(j) and 462. After a bench trial, defendant was found guilty and received a suspended sentence of two years.
