I. INTRODUCTION

Presently before the court is the Joint Motion of the Plaintiffs’ Legal Committee (“PLC”) and AcroMed Corporation (“AcroMed”) for Approval of the Proposed Settlement Agreement and for Certification *165of a Settlement Class and objections presented by various interested parties. For the reasons discussed below, the court concludes that the requirements of Federal Rule of Civil Procedure 28 have been satisfied and that under the circumstances particular to this litigation the settlement is fair, reasonable and adequate.
