Bissell was indicted and tried for aggravated assault with intent to rape. The jury returned a verdict finding him "guilty as charged.” He appeals.

1. Bissell urges that the charge to the jury failed to include an instruction that an essential element of the crime charged was a "substantial step” toward the commission of the rape. Citing Riddle v. State, 145 Ga.
