On February 7, 1920, American National insurance Company issued a life insurance policy on the life of Joseph M. Callahan, in the sum of $2,000, in which policy the plaintiff, Percival Korff Callahan, was named as beneficiary. The policy contained the following disability benefits:

"After one full year's premium shall have been paid and before default in the payment of any subsequent premium hereon, if the insured, prior to attaining the age of sixty years at nearest birthday, and while this policy is in full force, shall furnish due proof to the Company at its Home Office that he has become…
