June 29, 1917. The opinion of the Court was delivered by The defendant was indicted, tried, convicted and sentenced at the Fall term of the Court, 1916, for Charleston county, before Judge Rice, and a jury, for violation of law in unlawfully storing contraband liquor. Two witnesses, police officers of the city of Charleston, testified for the State. At the close of the State's evidence the defendant moved for a directed verdict of "not guilty," which motion was refused. The defense introduced no testimony.
