Plaintiff, James E. Erwin, has filed a motion to remand. Plaintiff does not dispute that diversity of citizenship exists, but contends that the amount in controversy does not exceed $10,000, exclusive of interest and costs.

The plaintiff commenced the action by filing his complaint against the above named defendants in the Circuit Court of Hot Spring County on February 23,1965. In his complaint the plaintiff alleged that he “has been damaged in the sum of $15,-000, all as a direct and proximate result of the negligence and carelessness of the defendants as above…
