Charles Stanley, appellant, was convicted by a jury in the Circuit Court for Baltimore City of possessing a firearm after having been previously convicted of a crime of violence and discharging a firearm within the City of Baltimore. The trial court sentenced appellant to a term of five years’ incarceration without the possibility of parole for the firearm possession and to a concurrent sentence of time served for the conviction of discharging a firearm.
