MEMORANDUM OPINION

KAPLAN, District Judge.

This contempt motion raises the question whether the Court may order the arrest of a contemnor located outside the district in which it sits and more than one hundred miles from the Courthouse.

Facts

On September 12, 1995, plaintiff and defendant settled this case and a consent judgment was entered. The judgment directed defendant to pay plaintiff $15,253.50 by October 15, 1995, $47,460 by January 31, 1996, and- $9,000 by February 28,1996. Defendant defaulted and no payments ever have been made.
