John Walter Piner, the Claimant, appeals the decision of the district court 1 granting the United States’ motion for forfeiture of a boat formerly owned by Piner, a 1970 36.9' Columbia Sailing Boat, known as the “Del-phene.” We affirm.

I. BACKGROUND

Carl Thompsen and Ronald Scoggins planned to import marijuana from Colombia. They met the Claimant, who informed the pair that the marijuana could be transported in his boat, the Delphene.
