This appeal follows the grant of the Georgia Department of Human Resources’ (“DHR”) application for interlocutory appeal of the trial court’s denial of its motion for summary judgment. The underlying renewal action 1 involves a case 2 originally brought under the Georgia Tort Claims Act 3 (“GTCA”) by L. C. Nation (“Nation”), for injuries received while a patient in a DHR institution.
